North Korea's Olympic Committee has sent an official statement saying it will participate in events later this month related to the Incheon Asian Games, including group draw events and an international symposium.
 
The statement sent on Friday was addressed to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). North Korean representatives are expected to visit around August 20 when the two events will be held in the course of three days.
 
The Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee said it will discuss necessary measures with the OCA for North Korea's participation in the events. The committee said it will also make the plans needed for the visit with the cooperation of related government bureaus.
