North Korea is reportedly training its athletes for diverse sporting events.

The Choson Sinbo, a pro-North Korean newspaper based in Japan, reported that athletes and coaches of the North’s national diving team are practicing for mixed diving which may make its debut as a newly added event at the 2015 FINA World Championships and will be added to North Korea’s Championships in October.

FINA, the international governing body of swimming, is currently considering introducing mixed diving to the 2015 World Championships.

Early this year, the North launched associations for roller skating, roller figure skating and trampoline.

The North announced in May it will participate in the Incheon Asian Games.
