Torch for Incheon Asian Games Lit on Mount Mani

The torch for the Incheon Asian Games has been lit on Mount Mani on Ganghwa Island.

The fire was lit on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by about 50 people including Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok.

The flame will be joined on Wednesday with that of another torch which had been lit Saturday in New Delhi, India, the first host city of the Asian Games.

The joined torch will travel through 70 cities and districts around the nation beginning with Baengnyeong Island.

After the nation-wide relay the torch will be used to ignite the flame at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on September 19 to mark the opening of the games.
