IBC Opens for Worldwide Coverage of Papal Visit

The International Broadcast Center (IBC) set to provide worldwide coverage of Pope Francis's scheduled visit to Korea has opened.

KBS, the host broadcaster to cover the papal visit, held a ceremony at the Lotte Hotel in downtown Seoul to mark the center's opening on Wednesday.

The event was attended by Cardinal Andrew Yeom Soo-jung, KBS President Cho Dae-hyun and Vice Culture Minister Kim Hee-beom.

KBS will utilize the International Broadcast Center to provide full coverage of the pope's scheduled events in South Korea, so viewers around the world can watch on their televisions, computers and mobile phones.
