No. of Korean Language Schools Approaches 2,000

The number of Korean language schools around the world is estimated at around two-thousand, with the number of enrolled students surpassing 100-thousand.

The Overseas Koreans Foundation’s research conducted in February shows that a total of one-thousand-918 Korean language schools are operating in 116 countries around the world.

According to the research, about 106-thousand students are leaning Korean language at the schools, with the number of teachers reaching over 15-thousand.

By region, North America has the largest number of schools, with one thousand-70 concentrated in the U.S. and Canada.

The Asia-Oceania region has 363 schools, followed by Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States with 240 and Europe with 111.
