Traditional fermented foods from across the country will be presented in Seoul during a food fair next month.
The Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation (aT) said Saturday that the Korea Food Show 2014 will be held from September 2 to the 5 at the corporation's aT Center in Yangjae-dong, southern Seoul.
The corporation said the show will be divided into three pavilions and showcase some 15-hundred-80 different fermented food products by 381 companies nationwide.
In the fermented food pavilion, over 14 hundred items will be displayed and sold.
For the culinary masters pavilion, 50 vendors will exhibit 50 products for visitors to sample.
At the traditional liquors pavilion, 112 liquors manufactured by some 70 firms will be showcased and will include winners of awards in Korea and abroad. A cocktail show will also be held to attract buyers and visitors.
The Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation says t as this year’s Korea Food Show opens just before the Chuseok holiday, food items related to ancestral rites that Korean families hold during the holiday will also be sold at an affordable price.
The corporation noted free admission is given when registering in advance on the Web site koreafoodshow.com.
