The Vatican has highly assessed Pope Francis’s visit to South Korea, calling it a gift from God.
 
Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi unveiled such a view on Monday during a news briefing at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul. 
 
He added that the pope came to feel the pain of a divided country and the tragedy of the Sewol ferry sinking through his trip.
 
The spokesman said the pope, in particular, took keen interest in the ferry sinking and expressed such interest over the course of three times to show that he shares the pain of the victims’ families and survivors.
