Having already broken every box office record in Korea, the South Korean period action film 'Roaring Currents' hit the 15 million admissions mark on Tuesday afternoon, only 21 days after its opening.

It surpassed the domestic film admissions record of 13-point-01 million set by 'The Host' in 2006 on Friday, and the next day broke the overall admissions record of 13-point-62 million held by the Hollywood blockbuster 'Avatar'.

The film's distributor, CJ Entertainment, expects the film will likely surpass 16 million viewers as well.
