A large-scale K-pop concert scheduled in Dusseldorf, Germany next month has been abruptly canceled.
 
Germany’s local sources said Thursday that organizers of the “2014 K-Culture Festival in Germany” apparently canceled the event after failing to sell enough tickets to break even. About four-thousand tickets were estimated to have been sold.
 
The concert was scheduled for September 12 and 13.
 
The sources said following the abrupt cancellation, German event organizers who took part in preparing for the concert are considering legal countermeasures. In addition, people who had bought tickets are also strongly protesting the cancellation and are now demanding refunds. 

The sources said the cancellation will deal a blow to Hallyu's image in Europe.
