Korean TV Show 'Good Doctor' to be Remade on U.S. Network

A KBS TV show which aired last year will be remade by CBS in the United States.

The U.S. version of "Good Doctor" would be the first case of a Korean drama aired on a terrestrial channel is remade by a major U.S. network.

Starting with this deal, KBS will seek to export more dramas for remake. 

Good Doctor is the story of a man with a mental disability who displayed symptoms of savant syndrome, eventually becoming a brilliant pediatrician.  The show topped 20 percent in viewer ratings.

The remake will be set at a teaching hospital in Boston. It's scheduled to be aired some time next year or in 2016.
