Ryu, who returned from the disabled list (DL) Sunday lasted seven innings, allowing one run on four hits and no walks, striking out seven. It was his first start in 18 days.

The South Korean pitcher matched his win total from his MLB rookie season last year, leaving ample room for him to surpass it, with about a month remaining in the season.

Through Sunday's performance, Ryu has accumulated 3.18 ERA with 129 strikeouts in 24 starts this season.
