The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said Monday Korea, Japan and China have launched a joint network to monitor the yellow dust phenomenon.

Officials at the administration said that monitoring will be performed in 12 cities in the three countries, including Seoul, Beijing, Dunhuang, Fukuoka and Nagoya to improve forecasts until March 26th.

The project is aimed at providing the three countries' meteorological administrations with improved data to help predict the movement of the dust.

The three countries will exchange and share the information compiled through monitoring data such as dust density and solar radiation.
