North Korea to Convene Parliament on Sept. 25

North Korea will hold a rubber stamp parliamentary session later this month, for the second time this year, raising speculation that it may announce a notable policy change.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Friday the second session of the 13th Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) will be held in Pyongyang on September 25.

The KCNA did not mention specific items on the agenda for the upcoming session.

The North held the first session of the 13th SPA on April 9 during which it approved the reshuffle of the National Defense Commission and the Cabinet.
