New manager to South Korea's national football team Ulrich Stielike lauded the nation's passion for the sport in an interview with German media.

Stielike said in an interview with German based news agency DPA that South Korea displays a great passion for football and stated results could be expected from any region that shows much passion.

The new manager pinpointed Son Heung-min and Gu Ja-cheol as the country's key players.

Stielike said he plans to stay in Korea during his term as the manager of Team Korea and added he will make his debut at the upcoming friendly with Uruguay in October.
