Support Center Opens for Foreign Firms Seeking to Invest in Gaeseong Complex

A support center for foreign investors has launched services Friday at the Gaeseong Industrial District Foundation in Seoul.

The support center will mainly provide consultation for foreign firms hoping to invest in the Gaeseong Industrial Complex. It will also provide administrative support and assist the industrial park’s efforts to discover potential investors.

The Unification Ministry plans to establish an exclusive Web site next year to attract foreign investment to the industrial complex. The ministry will also set up a public relations center and consultation rooms to provide information on the Gaeseong park to potential investors.

The two Koreas agreed to make the industrial park international last year, but the park has not yet hosted any foreign companies.
