S. Korea's Kim Hyo-joo Wins LPGA Evian Championship

South Korean golfer Kim Hyo-joo has won the LPGA Evian Championship.

Kim finished with a four-round total of 11-under 273 on Sunday at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.

The 19-year-old South Korean golfer beat Australian veteran Karrie Webb by one shot, becoming the third youngest major winner.

Kim also became the third South Korean to win a major title on the LPGA tour as a non-member after Shin Ji-yai won the 2008 British Open and Ryu So-yeon won the U.S. Women's Open in 2011.

With Sunday’s victory, Kim has secured a position on the LPGA tour for five years and her world ranking is set to jump to tenth from 20th.

Fellow South Koreans Jang Ha-na and Hur Mi-jung tied for third at 9-under, with Choi Na-yeon in fifth. Park In-bee delayed accomplishing an LPGA career grand slam as she tied for 10th on Sunday.
