The national team beat Qatar 26-25 on the last day of the championship in Amman on Monday.
The victory was South Korea’s first in the competition since 2005. South Korea had lost to Qatar at the finals of the championship in 2010 and again at the semifinals of the competition in 2012.
Kang Seok-ju scored ten goals alone, and Park Dong-kwang scored seven goals.
