South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan won the bronze medal in the men’s 200 meter freestyle at the Incheon Asian Games, failing in his bid for a third straight Asiad medal.
On the third day of the Games on Sunday, Park clocked one minute 45-point-85 seconds to come in third in the final held at the Incheon aquatics arena named after him.
Japan’s Kosuke Hagino snatched a gold medal, while China’s Sun Yang won silver.
South Korea’s teenage shooter Kim Cheong-yong won two gold medals on Sunday.
In the men’s 10-meter air pistol at Ongnyeon International Shooting Range, Kim scored 201-point-two points to win a gold, beating China’s Pang Wei. Jin Jong-oh earned a bronze medal with 179-point-3 points.
Earlier on Sunday, Kim, Jin and Lee Dae-myung scored one-thousand-744 points to win the gold medal in the 10-meter air pistol team competition.
In Wushu, Lee Yong-hyun scored a total of 19-point-36 points to win a silver medal in the men’s daoshu and gunshu.
In cycling, South Korea added a silver medal in the men’s team pursuit track event.
