S. Korea Wins Gold in Women's 25-M Pistol Event

The South Korean team won gold in the women's 25-meter pistol event at the Asian Games on Monday.

Kim Jang-mi, Lee Jung-eun and Kwak Jung-hye scored one-thousand-748 points to win gold at the Ongnyeon International Shooting Range in Incheon.

Kim, gold medalist at the London Olympics, scored 584 points, while Lee scored 583 and Kwak a total of 581.

Earlier on Monday, another group of the South Korean shooters also won bronze in the women's 10-meter air rifle event.

China, which placed first, was initially disqualified after one of its shooters allegedly shot with a heavier rifle, but the team was reinstated by the jury following an appeal by the Chinese.

South Korea also grabbed a sepaktakraw silver in the men's double event with Kim Young-man and Jeong Won-deok losing to Myanmar.
