Park Tae-hwan Advances to 100-M Final

Park Tae-hwan is looking to grab a gold medal at the Incheon Asian Games on Thursday night in the 100-meter freestyle final.
 
The 24-year-old clocked 49-point-76 seconds Thursday morning in the 100-meter freestyle qualifying round, advancing to the final as the first among eight qualifiers. .
  
The 2012 Beijing Olympic gold medalist has raked in four bronzes so far at this year’s Asian Games.
 
Also on Thursday, South Korea added three silver medals in the shooting event, with two being won by Kim Jun-hong.
 
Kim, who has already won two gold medals at Incheon, won a silver medal from both team and individual competitions at the 25-meter standard pistol event. Three other Korean shooters also brought home a silver medal Thursday morning in the men’s 50-meter rifle prone shooting team competition.
 
Meanwhile, South Korea's Olympic gymnastics champion Yang Hak-seon will aim for a gold medal later in the day in the vault competition.
 
South Korea is currently the runner-up to China in terms of gold medals being won at the Incheon Asian Games with 26 under its belt.
