S. Korea Adds Gold in Rowing, Shooting; Secures 2 Silvers in Archery

South Korea added gold medals in rowing and shooting and secured two silvers in archery on Thursday at the Incheon Asian Games.
 
Ji Yoo-jin won gold in the lightweight women's single scull event by clocking eight minutes and one second.
 
Shooter Kim Mi-jin set a world record in the women's double trap event with a score of 110 to win gold.
 
South Korea's archers secured silver medals beating the Philippines and Iran to advance to the final in both the men’s and women’s compound archery team event. 
 
Swimmer Park Tae-hwan touched home in 48-point-75 seconds to pick up a silver in the men's 100-meter freestyle race. Yang Jung-doo won a bronze in the men's 50-meter butterfly race.
 
In fencing, South Korea won a silver in the women's epee team event and a bronze in the men's foil team competition.
 
South Korea also added a team silver and an individual bronze in the men's 50-meter rifle prone shooting event. You Jae-jin, Park Bong-duk and Kwon Jun-cheol had a combined score of one-thousand-869 points to grab a team silver, while Park Bong-duk won a bronze with a score of 186-point-six points.
 
Double gold medalist Kim Jun-hong clinched two more silvers in the men's 25-meter standard pistol individual and team events.
 
As of Thursday, South Korea ranked second in the total medal tally with 28 gold, 33 silver and 30 bronze.

Meanwhile at the Incheon Asian Games, South Korea’s football team beat Hong Kong 3-0 in the round of 16 and will play against Japan on Sunday.
