N. Korea: 'No Possibility of Dialogue with S.Korea, US'

North Korea’s Ambassador to the United Nations Ja Song-nam says there is no possibility of dialogue in the foreseeable future between the two Koreas or between the North and the U.S.

The North Korean diplomat made the remark on Saturday, arriving at the U.N. headquarters in New York for a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Ja said that the North’s officials, including North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Su-yong, have no plans to meet with American officials during the U.N. General Assembly.

The ambassador said that the North also has no plans to make further attempts to hold a meeting with the U.S., since Washington is believed to have no intention of engaging with Pyongyang.
