Two Koreas to Clash for Men's Football Gold

South and North Korea will face each other in the men’s football gold medal match on Thursday at the Incheon Asian Games.

South Korea defeated Thailand 2-0 on Tuesday in the semifinals at Munhak Stadium.

Lee Jong-ho scored the first goal in the 41st minute by heading in a cross by Rim Chang-woo. In the 45th, Lee Jae-sung was awarded a penalty and Jang Hyun-soo scored the winning goal.

The final match, set to kick off at 8 p.m. Thursday, would be the first inter-Korean showdown for an Asiad football gold in 36 years since the two teams tied and shared the gold in the 1978 Bangkok Asian Games.
