The National Police Agency entered into a state of emergency

The Korean National Police Agency convened an emergency meeting of senior police officials Thursday to take appropriate safety precautions for any possible ripple effects from the US-Iraqi war.

They discussed on ways to protect major US facilities including embassy, US troops facilities and other US-related installations by deploying 3,000 police forces across the nation.

They also decided to reinforce protective forces in 19 Korean consulate offices in 19 difference nations especially in countries like Britain, Spain and Japan, which support the war against Iraq.
