S. Korea Beats Paraguay 2-0 in Friendly Football Match

The South Korean national football team lead by its new head coach Uli Stielike defeated Paraguay 2-0 in a friendly match on Friday.

At the match held in Cheonan, South Korea, midfielders Kim Min-woo and Nam Tae-hee each scored one goal in the first half.

Marking his first victory with the South Korean team, the newly-appointed German coach will face Costa Rica in Seoul on Tuesday. The national team will then fly to the Middle East for a match against Jordan and Iran in mid November.

Stielike was chosen as South Korea's new head coach in September to replace Hong Myung-bo following Team Korea's lesser-than-expected performance at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
