S. Korea Proposes High-level Inter-Korean Talks on October 30

South Korea has proposed to North Korea that a second round of high-level talks be held on October 30 on the North’s side of the truce village of Panmunjeom.

A Unification Ministry official said Wednesday that the Seoul government made the offer on Monday in a message sent in the name of Kim Kyu-hyun, chief of the South’s delegation to the high-level talks.

The official said Pyongyang has not responded yet.

The two Koreas earlier agreed to hold the second round of high-level talks as early as late October.
