"Han Gong-ju" "Non Fiction Diary" Win Awards from Sitges Film Festival

Two South Korean films have received awards from the 47th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.

Lee Su-jin's "Han Gong-ju" and Jung Yoon-suk's documentary "Non Fiction Diary" were winners of this year's best fiction and non-fiction prizes in the "Noves Visions," or new visions category.

The Sitges Film Festival is the world's most prestigious film festival for the science fiction, horror and thriller film genres.

"Han Gong-ju" is a movie about growing pains felt by the main character who transfers to another school after losing a friend in an accident. "Non Fiction Diary" is a movie which dealt with serious social issues in the 1990s including serial murders by Jijon clan members and the collapse of Seongsu Bridge.
