Four North Korean asylum seekers who sought refuge at a Japanese school in Beijing last month arrived Friday in South Korea via Singapore.

The group, including a nine-year-old boy, arrived at Incheon International Airport at 7:30 a.m. on an Asiana Airlines flight.

On Feb. 18, the four North Koreans were taken into the custody of the Japanese Embassy in Beijing after seeking asylum at a school affiliated with the embassy.

The South Korean government subsequently agreed to Japan's request to allow them to travel to Seoul.
