English-language K-pop Web site Soompi said Friday that it has launched Soompi TV, which will provide various Korean programs by local broadcasters for overseas viewers.

In partnership with South Korea's major terrestrial broadcasters and entertainment companies, Soompi TV will provide programs with English subtitles right after they air in the domestic market.

Soompi's founder Susan Kang said the TV addition to the 15-year-old web service will allow overseas fans to access all Korean entertainment content through the Web site.

Earlier this year, Soompi was acquired by Crunchyroll, Japan's leading animation Web site.
