North Korea's youth football team arrived in South Korea on Sunday with some 30 members set to participate in an international football tournament this week.

Ahead of the U-15 competition set to begin on Friday and run through Sunday in Gyeonggi Province, the North Korean athletes will visit the JS Football Center and hold a news conference on Monday.

Organized by the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation, the U-15 event will see the participation of six teams from four countries, including the two Koreas, China and Uzbekistan.

The last time North Korea’s youth football team visited South Korea was in 2007.
