N. Korean Media Mum for 3rd Day on Americans' Release

The North Korean media continued to remain silent about the regime's release of two detained Americans three days ago.

An official at Seoul's Unification Ministry said Tuesday that it's difficult to determine the motive behind the North Korean media staying mum on the release.

Unlike the current silence, North Korean news outlets previously covered the story of American Jeffrey Fowle shortly after his release on October 21.

Regarding the delay in the North's media response, some pundits suggested Pyongyang may issue a statement after observing the U.S.-China summit scheduled for Wednesday.

North Korea on Saturday released the last-remaining two American detainees -- Kenneth Bae and Matthew Todd Miller.
