Interstellar Nears 5 Mln Audience in South Korea

Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi film, Interstellar, which remains at the top of South Korea’s box office, is expected to surpass five million viewers on Monday.

The Korean Film Council said the movie was seen by more than four-point-eight million people as of Sunday, only 11 days since the Hollywood film began screening in South Korea.

The film is moving at a faster pace than James Cameron’s Avatar, which hit the five million mark only 15 days after it was released in South Korea. In total, the 2009 movie attracted 13-point-three million viewers in South Korea, becoming the most viewed foreign film at South Korean cinemas.
