KBS World Radio Program Wins Top Radio Honor at Buddhist Awards

A KBS World Radio program has won the top prize in the radio category in the 22nd annual Buddhist Media Awards.

The Buddhist order of Jogye said Wednesday that "24 Hours at the Temple" produced by KBS World Radio highlighting Korea's temple stay program was named the best radio show in the awards.

The Jogye Order said the grand prize went to a documentary produced by the KBS Busan Broadcasting Station on the efforts to protect Korea's indigenous Seon Buddhism during the years the country was occupied by Japan.

The award ceremony will be held December 3 at the Korean Buddhism History and Culture Memorial Hall in downtown Seoul.
