'Roaring Currents' Wins Best Film at Daejong Film Awards

The box office hit “Roaring Currents” has won the Best Film Award at the 51st Daejong Film Awards.

In the awards ceremony held on Friday at KBS Hall in Seoul, the epic war film grabbed four prizes including the best picture.

The awards for best actor and actress went to Choi Min-sik of “Roaring Currents” and Son Ye-jin of “The Pirates.”

Yoo Hae-jin of “The Pirates” won best supporting actor, while Kim Young-ae of “The Attorney” received best supporting actress.

The awards for the best rookie actor and actress went to singer-actor Park Yu-chun of “Sea Fog” and Yim Ji-yeon of “Obsessed.”
