Hong Myung-bo Among AFC's Hall of Fame Inductees

Former coach of South Korea’s national football team Hong Myung-bo was included in the first ten players to be inducted into the Asian Football Confederations’ Hall of Fame.

The AFC selected the ten players, including Iran's Ali Daei and ex-Australian international Harry Kewell, to be inducted in its first Hall of Fame to mark the 60th anniversary of its foundation.

The AFC said that Hong, frequently labelled Asia's best defender, was the first Asian to play in the World Cup for four straight times and played 136 A-matches.

The AFC will hold the Hall of Fame ceremony ahead of the AFC awards in Manila, Philippines on November 30.
