S. Korean Elected to Chair U.N. Woman's Rights Committee

A South Korean woman has been elected to chair a U.N. committee for the promotion of woman's rights.

Kang Kyung-hwa, a councilor at the South Korean mission to the United Nations, will serve for two years beginning next year.
