Art Exhibit on Comfort Women Opens in Washington

An art exhibition on the suffering of the victims of Japan's wartime sex slavery has opened in Washington D.C.

The Washington Coalition for Comfort Women Issues said Tuesday that the exhibition and seminar taking place at the Catholic University of America is themed around the "sorrow and hope" of the victims.

The exhibition will continue through January, showcasing paintings and crafts by Kim Sun-sook, Lee Chang-jin and other artists.
