North Korea has criticized South Korea for moving to legislate North Korean human rights bills, saying Seoul is actively joining the international community’s anti-Pyongyang movements on the human rights issue.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Wednesday that the South’s parliamentary committee on foreign affairs presented bills on the North’s human rights and ruling Saenuri Party Chairman Kim Moo-sung urged the parliament to pass the bills.

The KCNA said that the Seoul government’s provocation on the North’s human rights issue reached the highest level.

The report said that Seoul’s active participation in the recent passage of a UN resolution on the North’s human rights was a dangerous move that brings inter-Korean relations to extreme confrontation.

It threatened that if South Korea continues to act without discretion, it will dearly pay the consequences.
