Kim Jong-un Visits Military Unit, Urges Preparations

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has urged the North’s military to be thoroughly prepared “to fight,” during his second visit to a military unit this week.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Friday that Kim made the call while visiting Unit 1313 of the Korean People's Army.

The North Korean leader also visited the artillery unit 963 earlier on Monday as the North Korean military began its regular winter training this week.

KCNA said during his latest visit, Kim told soldiers that next year should be the time to improve the quality of training and achieving results in completing the country’s combat readiness.

Kim was accompanied by Hwang Pyong-so, director of the general political bureau of the Korean People's Army (KPA), along with other top military officials.
