Boy Band EXO Tops Billboard Year-end Chart in 7th Place

South Korean boy band EXO has made history in the Korean music scene.

The agency SM Entertainment said EXO took the 7th spot in Billboard’s 2014 World Albums Artists list.

The agency said the ranking is the highest of any Korean singer and shows that EXO is being well received globally.

Back in May, EXO's mini-single “Overdose” ranked 129th on the Billboard 200, the main chart ranking the week’s most popular albums across all genres.

EXO has also topped Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums list, which features top-selling albums by new acts, and finished 2nd in the World Album chart.

The South Korean band will be headed to Shenzen, China where the members will take part in the annual wireless mobile music awards on December 13.
