KOC, Sports Associations Vow Top 4 Finish in P'chang Olympics

The Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) and winter sports associations have vowed to finish fourth in the medal standings at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

KOC President Kim Jung-haeng and chiefs of seven winter sports associations held a meeting on Tuesday and announced the goals of winning 20 medals and finishing fourth in the rankings.

The chiefs set goals for each sport---seven gold medals in ice sports and one gold in skeleton.

The seven sports associations decided to establish various strategies customized for South Korean athletes to improve their performances in the build up to the Olympic Games including more overseas training sessions and recruitment of competent foreign coaches.
