War Simulation Game to Counter N. Korean Long-Range Artillery Attacks

The Defense Acquisition Program Administration has developed a war game to train South Korean soldiers for counter-fire operations against North Korea’s long-range artillery attacks.

In the war simulation game, soldiers learn to operate radar and reconnaissance drones to detect targets and tackle attacks from North Korean long-range artillery.

The administration said that all of the war game’s software was domestically developed and produced, and three patent applications were filed for the reconnaissance drone system.

The cost to develop the war game totaled nine-point-five billion won.
