N. Korea Continues to See Instability in Internet Connection

North Korea’s propaganda Web sites are suffering disconnection as the North’s access to the Internet has continued to see instability for the last two days.

The North’s propaganda Web site, Uriminzokkiri, has been unable to access the Internet since Tuesday night. Other propaganda Web sites that had regular access on Tuesday also have yet to be connected to the Internet.

The Web sites of the North’s state-run media, including the Rodong Sinmun and the Korean Central News Agency, are currently seeing normal Internet connection after their access was cut off for around ten hours on Tuesday.

Dyn Research, a company that analyzes the connectivity of networks and service providers around the world, said the North’s access to the Internet was disconnected at 12:41 a.m. Wednesday and was restored after an hour.

Pyongyang has yet to release an official statement on the Internet problems.
