Daily admissions to South Korean movie theaters topped two million for the first time.
 
Based on data from Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, admissions at movie theaters nationwide on Christmas on Thursday exceeded two million for the first time, passing the landmark by more than 58-thousand.
 
The figure is nearly 10 percent higher than the one-point-89 million admissions recorded on Christmas last year.
 
Among Thursday's moviegoers, groups of two accounted for the highest portion of 62-point-three percent, while groups of four, mostly families, accounted for 13-point-four percent.
