Nation Football Team in Australia for Asian Cup

South Korea’s national football team has arrived in Australia for the Asian Cup, the continent's largest football tournament.

The 21-strong team led by Coach Uli Stielike arrived in Sidney on Saturday morning.

Stielike told reporters that he will check the players’ conditions and prepare for the tournament.

Seeking its first Asian Cup since 1960, South Korea will face Oman, Kuwait and Australia in that order in Group A.

The 2015 Asian Cup, organized by the Asian Football Confederation, will be held from January 9 to 31 in the Australian cities of Sidney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle and Canberra.
