South Korean football fans have picked the final football match of the Incheon Asian Games as the best game of the year.
 
According to the Korea Football Association’s survey, the best game of 2014 selected by Korean soccer fans was the final match between South and North Korea in the Asian Games on October 2. The South defeated the North 1-0 to win its first Asiad gold in 28 years.  The game received 54 percent of the vote from the 26-hundred poll respondents.
 
Striker Son Heung-min of Bayer Leverkusen in Germany’s Bundesliga was named the best football player of 2014. 
 
The best goal of the year was a goal by Lee Keun-ho in the nation’s match against Russia in the World Cup in Brazil.
