N. Korea Denounces S. Korea-US-Japan Intel-Sharing Pact

North Korea has strongly denounced an intelligence sharing agreement among South Korea, the U.S. and Japan on its nuclear and missile activities.

North Korea's main propaganda Web site, Uriminzokkiri, claimed on Tuesday that the three-way pact is a serious military provocation aimed at crushing the North. The Web site also claimed that the U.S. is the key player in the agreement.

The Web site said the three nations will actively seek to establish a three-way military alliance with the latest deal, adding that the move has resulted in the emergence of a greater risk of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

The three countries concluded the deal on Monday under which South Korea and Japan will exchange military intelligence through the U.S. instead of in a direct manner.
