N. Korea Eases Ebola Quarantine Rule on Foreigners

Voice of America reported that North Korea has eased its rule of keeping foreign visitors in quarantine to prevent the Ebola virus from spreading to the North.

Quoting an email sent by Swedish Ambassador to North Korea Torkel Stiernlöf, VOA said the North is now allowing foreign tourists coming from Ebola-hit countries to enter North Korea if they have stayed in China for 21 days or more.

However, the ambassador added there are no signs that North Korea will completely remove the rule of quarantining foreign visitors.

Since last October, the North has quarantined all foreign tourists at a designated hotel for 21 days to check if they are infected with Ebola, regardless of where they are from.
