“[I will] prepare for solutions to prevent such mishaps that disrupted the society from happening again. Especially regarding the report controversy, I am heavy hearted and sorry to the people for disappointing them.”

Park said that the leakage of the presidential office document is unforgivable as public officials disrupted the nation's discipline for their own interests. She stressed that many documents have been leaked without the facts having been confirmed to cause confusion in society, and as such should not be repeated in order to establish a just society and for the next generation.

Park said she will revamp the organization of the presidential office to gain trust from the public and to improve communication between the top office and the ruling party. She said there will also be a personnel reshuffling at the top office and she will establish a new group of presidential advisers. The president said she is also considering a partial cabinet reshuffling, noting the recent resignation of the oceans minister.

However, the president made it clear that her chief of staff Kim Ki-choon will not be subject to the immediate top office reshuffle. She also said three long-time aides of hers will stay at the top office despite accusations that they were involved in the Jeong Yun-hoe scandal. She said that Jeong had left a long time ago after serving for her when she was a lawmaker and suspicions of his meddling in politics is only a fabrication by those who wanted to use him.

At the news conference, President Park also underlined that the year 2015 is not a good time to discuss revising the nation’s Constitution, widely speculated to reduce the power of the president. She said such discussions would only lead to social divisions and conflicts at a time when the nation must focus on reviving the economy.
