N. Korean Military Team Applies to Compete in Military World Games in S. Korea

The North Korean military team has applied to participate in the 2015 Military World Games, also known as CISM World Games, to be held in South Korea in October.

The Korea Armed Forces Athletic Corps. said Wednesday that he team of about 200 athletes will compete in eleven events, including military pentathlon, judo and wrestling. 

The military added, however, details of the North Korean team's participation could change later.

North Korean military team ranked the fifth place in the first CISM World Games held in Rome in 1995 and again in the 2003 Catania event. In the last CISM World Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2011, it took the seventh place followed by South Korean military team which took the sixth place.
